'Jupiter' as often overlooked amongst the many other orange varieties of Crocosmia but should earn a place in more gardens. It's arching stems bear large and open golden-yellow flowers. The petals are deeper orange around the edge. and there is a soft- yellow flush at the centre of the flower with reddish markings in the lower five petals, looking rather like tadpoles swimming towards the centre. The green leaves are pleasantly pleated.
