This form of Wood Anemone wowed me when I first grew it. The double flowers first open pure white, leaving you wondering where the 'Blue Eyes' name come from, then a week later, the centre of the flower opens to reveal the most wonderful blue centre. It's a real beauty. Grow in moist soil, in the shade of trees & shrubs, where it will slowly expand to form a carpet, or grow in a pot so you can bring the plant up to eye height when in flower to enjoy the blooms.
Please note that pots supplied in summer and early autumn will have loose rhizomes in compost, these will form fibrous roots as autumn progresses an can be planted out then.
