'Pride of Plantion' is an upright form of Crocosmia with purple flower stems and tubular orange-red flowers with yellow bases. Good for the middle of back of the border - flowering later than 'Lucifer'. Upright unpleated leaves. It was bred by Willem Heemskerk in Holland and named after the Dutch auction at Utrecht which he played a key role in establishing.
