matthewsiana - ex Mpumalanga, RARE FORM - recently potted

Pot Size : 9cm

A rare and delicate species, with narrow, pleated leaves and elegant stems of small, clean, unmarked soft-orange-red flowers. This form is very attractive indeed and one of my real favourites. We only have a limited number of plants available, all propagated from an original collection from high waterfalls in Mpumalanga, South Africa. For the best flowers, grow in a warm spot and mulch well in autumn.

Height 90-100cm (36-40")
Spread 45cm (18")
Flowering Period Late Summer
Hardiness Normally hardy provided soil is well-drained and mulch is applied in autumn
Position Full sun or part-shade
Soil Most soils but not too dry
