Kingfisher , Tamar Nature Silhouettes ,
Kingfishers excite me! The tiniest flash of blue is often the only glimpse that I get of this beautiful bird (the ones on the River Tamar seem particularly shy). They dart across the river mainly eating fish but also other aquatic insects from water beetles to dragonfly nymphs. Kingfishers don't sing like many other birds, which doesn't help of you are searching them out, though they do have a shrill flight call.
This exquisite metal Kingfisher silhouette looks great when screwed upon a perch in the garden, maybe even alongside a pond...

It is made from sturdy 3mm thick metal and finished in a natural rust.

And they look good in winter too, against a frosty background.
Size: 14cm high x 19cm wide x 3cm at base (silhouette 3mm thick)
